Spring time is the most magical time in California. It’s a time when the brown and gray landscape transforms into lush green hills with islands of yellow, orange and purple wildflowers.

This year was not a superbloom year, but we were lucky to see all this beauty. Of course I couldn’t resist and sketch the most attractive places.

When I drew my sketches I immediately started to think about thread paintings and decided to try something smaller first, so I made two fabric postcards. Love these bright colors!
